It is still a hectic process no matter if you’ve backed up that driver install file somewhere in your hard drive.

November 5, 2006

Running Pentium 1 old computer @ the speed of Pentium 4 ..It happens..

As i researched, the main company based on India has this innovative idea. Running all the old computers off the main server. So, for all those nodes, company asks to install it’s proprietory network card called ThinClient, software for the card which has to be installed on the main server and that is enough to make any old dead p1 computer to work. To my surprise, the node even doesnt need a harddisk. Now, anyone can guess , how this system is working. With their innovative ideas put on that network card, Server computer controls all the nodes in the network. Recently, they have hold the grip on Kathmandu Based company, Compro Computers Pvt Ltd, as their authorised dealer. Anyone of you interested can contact Compro Computers.

EVERY GURL SHOULD READ THIS JOKE

November 5, 2006

Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter, ten men and one
woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided
that one had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to
fall. They weren’t able to name that person, until the woman gave a very
touching speech. She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope,
because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her
husband and kids, or for men in general, and was used to always making
sacrifices with little in return. As so on as she finished her
speech,…………………………………

Don’t Copy Paste

November 5, 2006

As i surf net more and more, i learnt this Net thingy is no more secured place to be in .. cos, surfer doesn’t have any ..security at all.

we do copy and paste in windows using CTRL +C which is the useful feature. Doing so, it copies the content in clipboard. I thought this copied content can be pasted only by me or read by me.. but heck.. the scripts are out there to steal the last copied information from your desktop.. who knows,.. how many sites have that script installed stealthily… give it a try if you don’t believe me…

1) Copy any text by ctrl+c
2) now, visit this link: http://www.sourcecodesworld.com/special/clipboard.asp

Do not keep sensitive data (like passwords, creditcard numbers, PIN
etc.) in the clipboard while surfing the web. It is extremely easy to
extract the text stored in the clipboard to steal your sensitive
information.

How to remove the content from clipboard, you could use the MSword for that.. but here is simple trick..
1.) open notepad.. hit the space key for sometimes…now copy that space keys content ..can use CTRL+C
2) it’ll copy the space keys code into the clipboard which is nothing but blank.

you are saved at least.. for the moment.

So, when you surf net, be very careful. I know lots of people herein myktm.com are very young and they may not care.. but keep that in mind cos, you’ll be grown up soon and you soon realise your security on the net.

Are you addicted to the internet?

November 5, 2006

*Someone at work tells you a joke and you say LOL.
*You keep begging your friends to get an account “so we can hang out.”
*you dream in text.
*being called a newbie is a *MAJOR* insult.
*you no longer type with proper punctuation, capitalization, or complete sentences.
*you begin to say heh heh heh instead of laughing.
*when someone says “What did you say?” you reply “Scroll up!”
*you find yourself sneaking away to the computer in the middle of the night when your spouse is asleep.
